The things which God hath prepared for them that love him

Monday November 24, 2025 Subject: The things which God hath prepared for them that love him Whats upppp chelitos Another week in Juayua, El Salvador... we ate a lot of pupusas, taught a lot of lessons, all the good stuff, mostly the same old same old. I feel like my own personal testimony has been growing a lot the past few weeks and I've felt a difference in my teaching because of that growth. I'm actually sharing and testifying of the things that I truly believe in and know to be true, rather than just saying things because everyone else shares them in their testimonies. And the thing that has helped me more than anything is my personal studies. Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. 1 Corinthuans 2:9  Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, n...

Trust the Process 🌽

Tuesday November 18, 2025 Subject: Trust the process 🌽 Cómo han estado everybody... Another good week overall, we're just getting back from our temple trip to San Salvador. It had been like 4 months since I'd been able to go to the temple, and it was a super awesome experience to go do endowments and go in the celestial room and refocus myself. It made me realize how much I took the temple for granted in Utah when we could go just whenever we felt like it. Make time to go to the temple this week, I'm confident you won't regret it. We helped a recent convert family, la familia Pacheco, with their harvest this week and these people are different goodness gracious. We started off by going into the fields and gathered up all their corn into giant sacks, and when we got the sacks as full as they could be we carried them back towards their house.  The sacks weigh around 100-125 lbs each, we had to carry them for 15 minutes up and down the hills and through cornfields, and we...

My Ways Higher Than Your Ways

Monday November 10, 2025 Subject: My ways higher than your ways What's up everybody como estamos The weeks just keep stacking up it's crazy how fast time flies, and it really makes me want to take advantage of each and every day here in El Salvador, because the next time I blink I'll be giving my homecoming talk in Layton Utah haha. We had a really cool experience this week that I consider a miracle personally. Around 2 weeks ago we had decided to stop teaching this hermana named Sonia, which was a hard decision because she was so friendly and welcoming but was obviously not progressing and wasn't keeping any of the commitments that we invited. But this week while we're on our way to an appointment, my companion had the thought to pass by hermana Sonia's house even though we had stopped teaching her 2 weeks earlier.  We knocked at the door and a boy thats about 13 years old opens it. We had just barely started talking with him and he tells us he wants to show us...

Monday November 3, 2025 Subject:  The pastor says I'm Cain... Walk another mile... Dia de los muertos Qué onda chelitos Another week in the books, the time just keeps flying.  "And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain" - Matthew 5:41 Cool story: La Familia Cosme, that we're planning on marrying and baptizing, live in this place called Tres Puertas and to get there it feels like you're climbing Everest, its just straight up for like a mile. So Wednesday, after walking up this massive hill, visiting the family, and coming all the way back down, at the very bottom of the hill we passed by this lady carrying a huge sack filled with water and we decided to help her. We asked her how far away her house was and she said it was super close just around the bend...  I kid you not we walked for another hour straight to get to her house in the middle of nowhere 😀 And the miracle is that Sunday she came to church ‼️ Sunday morning when we passed by her ...

We're gonna marry people

Monday October 27, 2025 Subject:  We're gonna marry people Qué lo que Another week in el barrio Progreso in Juayua, El Salvador. We've gone 2 weeks straight with water in the house, truly a miracle... and I'm already taking water for granted again haha. Holy man nobody is married in this country and everybody drinks coffee Week 2 with the Elder Ortiz and he's getting used to the area and things are going pretty good with the missionary work. We set 2 baptismal dates and a wedding date this week with la Familia Cosme.  Graduated high school like 5 months ago and I'm already marrying people 👨‍⚖️ Its crazy all the responsibilities they give you on the mission haha Still been going up to the mountains in San Juan De Dios like 5 times a week in pickup or bus or mototaxi. All our investigators literally live in the middle of nowhere in the jungle which takes up a ton of time just to find them and get to their houses, so we're considering on focusing our efforts just ...
