Subject: My ways higher than your ways

What's up everybody como estamos

The weeks just keep stacking up it's crazy how fast time flies, and it really makes me want to take advantage of each and every day here in El Salvador, because the next time I blink I'll be giving my homecoming talk in Layton Utah haha.

We had a really cool experience this week that I consider a miracle personally. Around 2 weeks ago we had decided to stop teaching this hermana named Sonia, which was a hard decision because she was so friendly and welcoming but was obviously not progressing and wasn't keeping any of the commitments that we invited. But this week while we're on our way to an appointment, my companion had the thought to pass by hermana Sonia's house even though we had stopped teaching her 2 weeks earlier.
We knocked at the door and a boy thats about 13 years old opens it. We had just barely started talking with him and he tells us he wants to show us something. He steps away from the door and comes back with a Book of Mormon in his hand. He tells us he found this book and he's reading in Alma right now and wants to know more 🀯
Right when he showed us the book I had a flashback to about 2 weeks earlier, the day we decided to stop teaching hermana Sonia (his grandma), and as we were leaving her house I had the impression to leave her with a Book of Mormon, so I did and I gave her my testimony of the book and we left. It was kind of a strange impression because the hermana couldn't even read and obviously didn't have desires to read it. But because I followed the prompting, her grandson Angel was able to find the book and start reading it. We've only known him for a few days now and we'll see how he progresses, but this was a huge testimony to me of the hand of the Lord in this work.

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."
-Isaiah 55:8-9

This week had a lot of ups and downs in the missionary work, but I know without a doubt that this work is God's work.

Nos vemos
