Another super sweet week here in Nahuizalco.
This week we worked on getting our friend Cristian ready for his big day and yesterday he was able to get baptized!! It was super cool to see, his 2 sisters (Karen and Maryorie) that got baptized a few weeks ago motivated him to start coming to church and eventually join them as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They're getting ready to go to the temple soon and it's been a huge privilege to see their growth. My son Elder Raxá was able to help with his 1st baptism on the mission and I'm so glad he was able to have that experience.

This week I was also able to help with 2 more baptismal interviews for the elders that live in the same house as us. Its always an awesome experience to get to see the faith that these people have. It was a mom and her daughter and the 2 of them were both able to get baptized as well yesterday.

Another miracle this week happened this Thursday when we went to visit our friend Alexander, and when we got to the house we saw that just him and his mom were home. Alexander's only 15 years old so we told them we wouldnt be able to go in because there wasn't a man in the house. His mom said it didnt matter and kept insisting that we come in, and we explained to her that we have a rule and we wouldnt be able to go in. She got pretty irritated about that and just started just going off on us (mainly me 😂) for 10 minutes talking about how we just do whatever our leaders say, how the rule doesnt even make sense, and she got pretty heated... and we just sat there and took all the verbal hits and when she was done we just simply told her that we loved them, that we had prayed and fasted for them, that we wanted them to have the best opportunity possible to hear the message of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, and that that was only possible with the companionship of the Holy Ghost. And that if we were not keeping the commandments that the Lord had given us we wouldnt be able to have the Spirit to be with us. Immediately, his mom started crying. Even though she didnt completely understand the purpose of the rule, she understood that we loved them and just wanted the best for them. We continued with the lesson teaching them outside of their house, and in that same visit we placed a baptismal date with her son Alexander for May 2nd, and we later got the approval and signature from the mom as well. It was honestly a miracle, and a huge testimony builder for me of a phrase that I heard a few weeks ago that says, "Exact obedience with love changes hearts".

We've seen a ton of miracles recently, in our area and also as a district. We did a district fast starting Saturday and ending Sunday and my testimony of the fast just keeps growing. 

Another cool spiritual experience this week was reading Jesus Christ coming to visit the Americas in 3 Nephi, around chapters 8-12. When I got to chapter 11 when Jesus descends from heaven and starts talking to the people, I could just feel how true it was, its such a good chapter and strengthened my testimony of the love of Jesus Christ.

Monday, September 1, 2025 Subject: A Lot of Rain ☂️  Wassup everybody, It was a solid week, went by super fast but also super slow haha. We had a ton of rain this week, and when it rains in El Salvador it RAINS. The streets straight up turn into rivers and everyone goes into their houses because it's pretty dangerous. I think it was like Wednesday or Thursday, but we were way up in the mountains around San Juan, it was like 6:30 and already getting dark, and the rain was coming down super hard. We were waiting on the side of the road until a pickup came, and we got into the back of it and started driving down the mountain and going into the rain at like 40 mph.  It was like a 15 minute ride of just getting absolutely pelted by the rain, it was so bad haha. I had a little umbrella that I was holding like a shield in the back of the pickup but it didn't help at all, it was getting bent in from the wind and rain and we got completely soaked. Buenos Dias

Monday October 6, 2025 Subject: Buenos dias  Qué tal everybody A decent week, not the best but we keep working. Me and my companion Elder Delgado have been sick this week and so we've been having to give everything just to get through the day so thats been the main thing thats made this week more difficult than usual. We got our water back for a couple days but once again its out, so that's nice haha. We have 3 people on date for baptism right now, and we'll see if they all go through. I feel pretty confident with our plans to baptize our friend Matias this upcoming sunday but the two others have slightly bigger problems that might take some extra weeks, but we're gonna do our best to help them out. Conference was super awesome and inspiring. I really liked Elder Uchtdorfs, Elder Hollands, and Elder Kevin G Browns talks. Go back and listen to those 3 if you can. Tio Vaca Baptism!!

Monday August 18, 2025 Subject:  Tio Vaca Baptism!! Cómo estamos everybody..... Another great week a lot of stuff happened its hard to remember haha. Got my first baptism this past sunday (besides my lil bro JJ of course haha), it was a super cool experience. It was our friend Jonathan Amaya (everyone calls him Tio Vaca and I have no idea why haha). He's 18 and he's basically been an eternal investigator up until this point, he's had a ton of friends in the church for the past 10+ years but he finally decided to get baptized it was so cool to see the entire ward show up for his baptism and I'm so happy for my man. I also had to give a talk on sunday it actually went great and was a big confidence boost for my spanish. We had intercambios (exchanges) 2 times this past week, on tuesday I went with Elder Reyes to Las Colinas and then thursday with Elder Buehner to Las Orquidias.
