Subject: A Lot of Rain ☂️ 

Wassup everybody,

It was a solid week, went by super fast but also super slow haha. We had a ton of rain this week, and when it rains in El Salvador it RAINS. The streets straight up turn into rivers and everyone goes into their houses because it's pretty dangerous. I think it was like Wednesday or Thursday, but we were way up in the mountains around San Juan, it was like 6:30 and already getting dark, and the rain was coming down super hard. We were waiting on the side of the road until a pickup came, and we got into the back of it and started driving down the mountain and going into the rain at like 40 mph. 

It was like a 15 minute ride of just getting absolutely pelted by the rain, it was so bad haha. I had a little umbrella that I was holding like a shield in the back of the pickup but it didn't help at all, it was getting bent in from the wind and rain and we got completely soaked. My comp had a jacket but it didn't even have a hood so he was just getting abused by the rain, I was dying just watching him haha. The back of the pickup had a bunch of plants and the floor was super muddy, so every time the driver came to a stop we just got sent flying forward into the plants haha.

This really had no significance for the rest of the week or the missionary work, but it was a funny story haha. Besides that we had a few super powerful lessons this week, one with the Beltran Family that we've been teaching for a second. Their dad was a member like 10 years ago, and he's not currently married to the mom, but they said they want to get married and baptized so that was super cool. But then Sunday came and they didn't even want to show up to church so we're not sure about them right now.

I'm gonna end it here because it's getting pretty long, but we had a bunch of other great experiences this week, it's been a great time in Juayua El Salvador.

Pday breakfast after getting haircuts. The barber cut Elder Trujillos hair shorter than he wanted and he hopes he doesn't get in trouble for having it too short 🤞😄. Colby told the barber a number 3 on the sides like last time but the barber cut it clear to the skin. I (his haircutting momma) thinks it looks nice.

Tuesday July 1, 2025  11:33am Subject: Locked In ¿Qué pasa con todos??? I'm not sure how good of an email writer I am, but I'll try my best to send weekly ones because my mom wants me to.  I'm 5 days into the Mexico mtc and it's crazy how much can happen in less than a week when you just forget about everything else and put all your effort into one thing. The food's been hit or miss, but everything else has been on point. I have some sweet roommates and the number of times we've just been dying laughing is crazy for only knowing each other a week. Our district is the chillest and I have a sick companion Elder Carman. Singing the hymns in Spanish has been so cool and this language is so fun to learn. During home mtc, it got to a point I was so bored of the zoom calls and sitting in the same room 8 hours a day that I was watching anything in my free time that wouldn't get me in trouble. Week 2 in Mexico, 3 Weeks Overall

Tuesday July 8, 2025 6:04 p m Subject:  Week 2 in Mexico, 3 Weeks Overall ¿Qué onda?? Yesterday was  my 3 week mark for being on the mission, and I've been in the mexico ccm for almost 2 weeks. Time's flying and the days are starting to blend together so I think I need to start writing the cool stuff down so I have stuff to put in my emails haha. We were hooping for like 4 hours today so that was sweet to play some ball again. We play basically every sport ever here, a lot of pickleball, volleyball, handball, basketball of course. One of the dudes in my district is a D1 quarterback so we've been throwing around the football and it's crazy how effortlessly he throws like 60 yard bombs and zips it right to my hands (he got his ball taken away today tho so we won't be playing anymore of that haha). Besides the sports, it's been pretty repetitive, 3 hour language class in the morning, 3 hour preach my gospel class with some Spanish in the afternoon, some devotionals...
