Subject: 2 weeks till El Salvador 🇸🇻

¿Qué tal todos?

It was a good week at the Mexico ccm. Did a lot, learned a lot, and El Salvador's just getting closer and closer it's crazy, in like 2 weeks I'll be out in the field doing the real stuff in Santa Ana. I memorized the First Vision in español this past week, got a bunch of other scriptures down as well like John 3:16, Moroni 10:5, a couple of the lessons, and I'm gonna start working on D&C 4 in Spanish which looks like an absolute beast.

Also this past week I gave my first priesthood blessing to one of the sisters in our district and it was a super spiritual experience. I'd been scared that I wouldn't have the right words to say, but as soon as the words started coming out of mouth it was like my physical ears completely turned off and it was absolute silence, but spiritually everything started coming to me and I could feel the Spirit so strongly. After giving the blessing it felt like it took everything out of me and I was just completely exhausted for the next 2 hours, so this stuffs gotta be true cuz there's no way a 3 minute blessing could make me feel this way haha.

We played a ton of basketball this week so that was sweet, also I looked up some churches in El salvador and almost all of them have outdoor courts so I'm super hyped for that. One of the hermanas in our district made a bet with me that if I ate a cup of rotten key lime pie with an entire packet of chili pepper spice dumped on top she'd give me 500 pesos to spend at the store (which is like $25). I obviously did it and just spent it on a ton of candy. I took a picture of my loot and I'll add it at the end. We also went to the temple this week and did initiatories and baptisms at the Mexico city temple and everything was in spanish so that was sick.

I can't wait to get to El Salvador and keep improving my spanish, hope everybody's doing great and nos vemos!

I'm not sure how good of an email writer I am, but I'll try my best to send weekly ones because my mom wants me to.  I'm 5 days into the Mexico mtc and it's crazy how much can happen in less than a week when you just forget about everything else and put all your effort into one thing. The food's been hit or miss, but everything else has been on point. I have some sweet roommates and the number of times we've just been dying laughing is crazy for only knowing each other a week. Our district is the chillest and I have a sick companion Elder Carman. Singing the hymns in Spanish has been so cool and this language is so fun to learn. During home mtc, it got to a point I was so bored of the zoom calls and sitting in the same room 8 hours a day that I was watching anything in my free time that wouldn't get me in trouble. A Lot of Rain ☂️

Monday, September 1, 2025 Subject: A Lot of Rain ☂️  Wassup everybody, It was a solid week, went by super fast but also super slow haha. We had a ton of rain this week, and when it rains in El Salvador it RAINS. The streets straight up turn into rivers and everyone goes into their houses because it's pretty dangerous. I think it was like Wednesday or Thursday, but we were way up in the mountains around San Juan, it was like 6:30 and already getting dark, and the rain was coming down super hard. We were waiting on the side of the road until a pickup came, and we got into the back of it and started driving down the mountain and going into the rain at like 40 mph.  It was like a 15 minute ride of just getting absolutely pelted by the rain, it was so bad haha. I had a little umbrella that I was holding like a shield in the back of the pickup but it didn't help at all, it was getting bent in from the wind and rain and we got completely soaked. Week 2 in Mexico, 3 Weeks Overall

Tuesday July 8, 2025 6:04 p m Subject:  Week 2 in Mexico, 3 Weeks Overall ¿Qué onda?? Yesterday was  my 3 week mark for being on the mission, and I've been in the mexico ccm for almost 2 weeks. Time's flying and the days are starting to blend together so I think I need to start writing the cool stuff down so I have stuff to put in my emails haha. We were hooping for like 4 hours today so that was sweet to play some ball again. We play basically every sport ever here, a lot of pickleball, volleyball, handball, basketball of course. One of the dudes in my district is a D1 quarterback so we've been throwing around the football and it's crazy how effortlessly he throws like 60 yard bombs and zips it right to my hands (he got his ball taken away today tho so we won't be playing anymore of that haha). Besides the sports, it's been pretty repetitive, 3 hour language class in the morning, 3 hour preach my gospel class with some Spanish in the afternoon, some devotionals...
