Qué ondas everybody

It was a super weird week, cuz it was really successful and then also really disappointing at the same time. The area looked pretty grim about 2 weeks ago when I got transferred here, but we've been able to turn things around pretty quick, we've found a ton of new people, extended a bunch of baptismal invitations and have a few baptisms lined up for the next few weeks. But for Sunday we were expecting a minimum of like 6 people to come to church with us and the potential of double digits, but we only ended up with 1 friend at church so that was kind of disappointing for how hard we worked, but it's better than 0 haha.

Another bummer was that our friend Andy was gonna get baptized this past Sunday but the date had to get pushed back a week cuz he drank coffee again, but he's super smart and ready to go for this next Sunday 🤞and he showed some interest in being a missionary, so once he gets baptized we're gonna help him prepare to potentially serve a mission which would be super sick

We went to One-Transfer Checkups this week, which is like a meeting that all the new missionaries and their trainers go to, to be evaluated and receive counsel from mission president, his wife and the APs. It felt really weird to be there as the companion thats supposed to be wise and know stuff, cuz I feel like I was just barely there as the greenie in training, and now they're asking me for feedback and counsel like I know what I'm doing or something haha. 

But things are going good with my adopted son Elder Villamar and we're working good together. A pretty average week not too interesting, but hope everyones doing awesome, love you guys

Tuesday July 1, 2025  11:33am Subject: Locked In ¿Qué pasa con todos??? I'm not sure how good of an email writer I am, but I'll try my best to send weekly ones because my mom wants me to.  I'm 5 days into the Mexico mtc and it's crazy how much can happen in less than a week when you just forget about everything else and put all your effort into one thing. The food's been hit or miss, but everything else has been on point. I have some sweet roommates and the number of times we've just been dying laughing is crazy for only knowing each other a week. Our district is the chillest and I have a sick companion Elder Carman. Singing the hymns in Spanish has been so cool and this language is so fun to learn. During home mtc, it got to a point I was so bored of the zoom calls and sitting in the same room 8 hours a day that I was watching anything in my free time that wouldn't get me in trouble. A Lot of Rain ☂️

Monday, September 1, 2025 Subject: A Lot of Rain ☂️  Wassup everybody, It was a solid week, went by super fast but also super slow haha. We had a ton of rain this week, and when it rains in El Salvador it RAINS. The streets straight up turn into rivers and everyone goes into their houses because it's pretty dangerous. I think it was like Wednesday or Thursday, but we were way up in the mountains around San Juan, it was like 6:30 and already getting dark, and the rain was coming down super hard. We were waiting on the side of the road until a pickup came, and we got into the back of it and started driving down the mountain and going into the rain at like 40 mph.  It was like a 15 minute ride of just getting absolutely pelted by the rain, it was so bad haha. I had a little umbrella that I was holding like a shield in the back of the pickup but it didn't help at all, it was getting bent in from the wind and rain and we got completely soaked. Week 2 in Mexico, 3 Weeks Overall

Tuesday July 8, 2025 6:04 p m Subject:  Week 2 in Mexico, 3 Weeks Overall ¿Qué onda?? Yesterday was  my 3 week mark for being on the mission, and I've been in the mexico ccm for almost 2 weeks. Time's flying and the days are starting to blend together so I think I need to start writing the cool stuff down so I have stuff to put in my emails haha. We were hooping for like 4 hours today so that was sweet to play some ball again. We play basically every sport ever here, a lot of pickleball, volleyball, handball, basketball of course. One of the dudes in my district is a D1 quarterback so we've been throwing around the football and it's crazy how effortlessly he throws like 60 yard bombs and zips it right to my hands (he got his ball taken away today tho so we won't be playing anymore of that haha). Besides the sports, it's been pretty repetitive, 3 hour language class in the morning, 3 hour preach my gospel class with some Spanish in the afternoon, some devotionals...
