Oyyy hows everyone doing
Its already february 2026 thats nuts
A cat snuck in 3 times this week and left a caca in the same exact corner of the house each and every time. We set up some defenses so it cant get in anymore.
Saturday we saw like a dozen kids playing soccer and we challenged them to a game and me and my comp won them 5-4 and then they listened to a message from us (I got a humble 4 goals, I kinda popped off I can't lie)
Our whole goal and focus for this week was to put 2 baptismal dates with our friends Dennis and Daniela. We've had them in teaching for about a month, they've both come to church, and we were feeling good about inviting them to get baptized. We went into the visit super prepared with a well thought out lesson outline and how we were going to extend the invitation, a lot of fasting and prayer, and 2 members to come with us to the visit. We got in, executed our lesson plan pretty well, extended the invitation and... they both said no. They said they felt like it was too big of a commitment. At that point it felt pretty hopeless that they would accept a baptismal date, but me, my comp, and the 2 members that were with us each bore our testimonies again, and then we extended the invitation for a second time with a date for the 22nd of february and... they said YES!! It was super nuts, I've never had someome say flat-out no to a baptismal invitation and then say yes and commit to a date in the same visit, it was a super powerful, spirit-filled lesson, and we saw their hearts get changed by the Spirit right before our eyes, it was nuts. The Spirit was so strong, easily a top-5 lesson of my mission haha, and a big testimony builder of the power of a humble, sincere testimony and the influence of the Holy Ghost
We've been trying to work super hard to help Dennis and Daniela feel the Spirit and get prepared for baptism. We spent a while making this thing called a Calendario de Fe for them, I'm gonna leave a pic of it in the foto album. Dennis has been coming to all the seminary classes, our basketball games on fridays, and he's come to church 3 times in a row, he's progressing. Daniela doesnt have as much free time but her testimonys still growing a ton and I think theyll both be super ready by the 22nd
Thats about it for the week nos vemos everybody

2 Nephi 4:34-35 - Trust in the Lord -
"34 O Lord, I have trusted in thee, and I will trust in thee forever. I will not put my trust in the arm of flesh; for I know that cursed is he that putteth his trust in the arm of flesh. Yea, cursed is he that putteth his trust in man or maketh flesh his arm.
35 Yea, I know that God will give liberally to him that asketh. Yea, my God will give me, if I ask not amiss; therefore I will lift up my voice unto thee; yea, I will cry unto thee, my God, the rock of my righteousness. Behold, my voice shall forever ascend up unto thee, my rock and mine everlasting God. Amen."
