Subject: Up and Down and Back Up 🎢

Que tal como estan fam and friends!!

First off want to shout out my boy Elder Andrew Laypath, the most loyal gym bro that I guy could ask for, he just got his mission call and he's headed to Arizona!! He's gonna be a crazy good missionary, Arizonas gotta watch out 🗣

As far as its going out here in El Salvador its been a roller coaster week... we've already gotten our tears out so I'm not too sad about it anymore, but Dennis's mom ending up refusing to give her consent for Dennis's baptism 😔 And Daniela was too scared to get baptized if Dennis didnt, so neither of them ended up being able to get baptized. We had some really sad, depressing nights this week, cuz we had put everything into helping this family out. We had tried so hard and done everything we could possibly do, they wanted to get baptized, but because of things outside of their own control and agency, they couldnt make their own decision of getting baptized. It hurt so bad man, Dennis is such a good kid he's been going every Sunday for over a month straight, he goes to seminary every day, he's gone out to visit with the members, he's told his mom multiple times that he wants to get baptized, but it didnt do anything to soften his moms heart 😔 

But even though Dennis isnt gonna be able to get baptized for the moment, the change we've seen in him has been crazy... when we met him like 2 months ago he had no interaction with the church, but now basically every single day of the week he goes to the church for seminary or sacrament meeting or all the other actividades they do at the church and he's made so many friends. I know without a doubt that he'll get baptized some day, it might not be while I'm on the mission but it will happen 

On the more positive side of things this week, one of our friends named Carlos that we found a bit over a week ago came with us to church this Sunday, which was super cool to see. And then another one of our friends named Katherine showed up for the second hour of church with her 2 kids, so we were able to see miracles this week despite a lot of disappointment with Dennis and Daniela's baptisms.

The last few days we've been able to give a lot of priesthood blessings, and its been a very uplifting experience to be able to use our priesthood power and see the inspiring faith of the people receiving the blessings. I want to always be worthy of holding the priesthood throughout my entire life.

I think I'm one of the worst people in the world at taking pictures or at least remembering to take pictures, but i did add a few things to my photo album just cuz i know my mom wants me to haha

Tuesday July 1, 2025  11:33am Subject: Locked In ¿Qué pasa con todos??? I'm not sure how good of an email writer I am, but I'll try my best to send weekly ones because my mom wants me to.  I'm 5 days into the Mexico mtc and it's crazy how much can happen in less than a week when you just forget about everything else and put all your effort into one thing. The food's been hit or miss, but everything else has been on point. I have some sweet roommates and the number of times we've just been dying laughing is crazy for only knowing each other a week. Our district is the chillest and I have a sick companion Elder Carman. Singing the hymns in Spanish has been so cool and this language is so fun to learn. During home mtc, it got to a point I was so bored of the zoom calls and sitting in the same room 8 hours a day that I was watching anything in my free time that wouldn't get me in trouble. A Lot of Rain ☂️

Monday, September 1, 2025 Subject: A Lot of Rain ☂️  Wassup everybody, It was a solid week, went by super fast but also super slow haha. We had a ton of rain this week, and when it rains in El Salvador it RAINS. The streets straight up turn into rivers and everyone goes into their houses because it's pretty dangerous. I think it was like Wednesday or Thursday, but we were way up in the mountains around San Juan, it was like 6:30 and already getting dark, and the rain was coming down super hard. We were waiting on the side of the road until a pickup came, and we got into the back of it and started driving down the mountain and going into the rain at like 40 mph.  It was like a 15 minute ride of just getting absolutely pelted by the rain, it was so bad haha. I had a little umbrella that I was holding like a shield in the back of the pickup but it didn't help at all, it was getting bent in from the wind and rain and we got completely soaked. Week 2 in Mexico, 3 Weeks Overall

Tuesday July 8, 2025 6:04 p m Subject:  Week 2 in Mexico, 3 Weeks Overall ¿Qué onda?? Yesterday was  my 3 week mark for being on the mission, and I've been in the mexico ccm for almost 2 weeks. Time's flying and the days are starting to blend together so I think I need to start writing the cool stuff down so I have stuff to put in my emails haha. We were hooping for like 4 hours today so that was sweet to play some ball again. We play basically every sport ever here, a lot of pickleball, volleyball, handball, basketball of course. One of the dudes in my district is a D1 quarterback so we've been throwing around the football and it's crazy how effortlessly he throws like 60 yard bombs and zips it right to my hands (he got his ball taken away today tho so we won't be playing anymore of that haha). Besides the sports, it's been pretty repetitive, 3 hour language class in the morning, 3 hour preach my gospel class with some Spanish in the afternoon, some devotionals...
