Subject: The Grace of God Which Was With Me
Oyyy que hay de nuevoooo??
Super great week, it started rough but we pushed through the adversities and ended it off great. My comp Elder Villamar was super sick for most of this week and was barely making it through the days but he ending up surviving. The thing that almost killed him was when it was our turn to fast this friday and he was already suffering pretty bad, and then to put a fast on top of that it was pretty risky haha... but he did actually make it through a solid chunk of the fast before tapping out so big props to him haha
Our zones been doing a fast for the past 3 weeks or so where each companionship picks one day to fast... theres 10 companionships in the zone so its about every 10 days or so for each companionship and its been really cool to see all the miracles that have happened in the zone from the moment we started the fast. Before the mission fasting was easily the weakest part of my testimony cuz for me it was just going without eating for 24 hours and suffering until it was time to go to Nanny and Papa's or Grandma and Grandpa's house for Sunday dinner, but since coming on the mission I've really come to embrace and gain a testimony of it. In one of my personal studies this week I just spent it studying every time that the Book of Mormon mentions "fasting" or "fast" and it really changed my perspective. I came to realize that the fast helps us to (1) humble ourselves, (2) submit our will to the Lord's will, (3) be more in tune with the Spirit, (4) and we allow God to work miracles in our lives. This verse in Helaman 3:35 really helped me to recognize the blessings of the fast:
"Nevertheless they did fast and pray oft, and did wax stronger and stronger in their humility, and firmer and firmer in the faith of Christ, unto the filling their souls with joy and consolation, yea, even to the purifying and the sanctification of their hearts, which sanctification cometh because of their yielding their hearts unto God."
This week we were able to find a bunch of different families with a lot of interest and potential and all thanks to the spiritual strength we've received to be able to hear and act upon the promptings we've received from the Spirit in all of our interactions, whether we've been walking down the road, or planning, in our lessons with friends in teaching or during visits with the members, we've had greater strength to put our trust in the Lord. Sunday we had a ton of friends committed to coming to church with us but a ton of them ended up not being able to go which was disappointing, but we were still able to have 4 friends come with us to church this week which was a huge blessing for how many people canceled out on going. Just being able to see one of our friends at church always makes me smile and getting to see 4 of them there even though a bunch of other friends canceled out on us honestly filled me with joy and made it a super great Sunday.
Hope everyone has a sweet week and let me know how youre all doing!!

1 Corinthians 15:10
"But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me."
