Subject: This is March 🌊🌊 KAREN y MARYORIE

Happy monday everybodyyyy

It was a very blessed week that got capped off with our friends Karen and Maryorie making their first covenant with their Father in Heaven.

Karen and Maryorie are sisters, 14 and 13 years old, and had very different timelines in getting to their baptism. We've been working with Karen for the past 3 months. After about her first month and a half in teaching we felt like she wasnt going to progress with us because she hadnt come to church and it was really hard to find her during the week, so we decided to stop teaching her for the moment. But then the very first day of this transfer when me and Elder Villamar found out we were staying together for another month and a half, we said we were gonna do things differently, that we were gonna try to be lead by the Spirit more and talk about the power of baptism more often and more confidently.

That same day we decided to visit Karen's family (la familia Cortez) to just see how they were doing and out of nowhere in that visit we felt prompted to invite her to get baptized, even though we had dropped her from teaching. She accepted the baptismal date, began attending church and hasnt misses since, brought her sister Maryorie with her, and just 15 days after we met Maryorie, both her and Karen got baptized. For Karen it took a few months and for Maryorie it took 2 weeks, but at the end it all worked out in the Lord's timing.

Before the baptismal service during sacrament meeting we also saw several other miracles. Along with Karen and Maryorie, several other friends in teaching showed up with us... just straight blesisngs bro, we just worked hard and God did the rest. Hard work and prayer brings about blessings, not always in our timing, but they do always come.

A bunch of stuff happened this week but those were some of the highlights. I also heard this morning that UConn hit a crazy gamewinner against duke in march madness... I'm not trying to brag or jinx anything, but I do have UConn winning the natty this year 🀷‍♂️🀫...

Let me know how youre all doing and have a great week everybody!!
