Subject: 🥞 Pancake Miracle 🥞

Que ondasss fam and friends...

The streak got broken last week 🥲 i had gone like 12.5 months without missing a week of emailing but last week we werent able to get the email off... but we'll make up for it this week dont even worry

Recap of week before this week: 
It was pretty busy, on tuesday we did zone council and it went really good, we talked a lot about faith and all the missionaries left super motivated, and we more than doubled our finding numbers as a zone. Wednesday, we had exchanges and Elder Kaleopa came with me to our area, he's a brand new samoan missioanry so that was a lot of fun haha. 
Also on Wednesday, Presidente and Hermana Choy left, they've had an impact on me that will last a lifetime, it was sad to see them go 😔✊️. Friday, we had the welcome meeting for President and Hermana Mickelson, it was really cool to get to know then, they're super awesome and got a lot of love.
Saturday, we had a leadership meeting called MLC, and even though it was President and Hermana Mickelson's first time, we were still able to learn a lot and feel the Spirit strongly. 
Also we set a baptismal date with our friend Froylan who's come to church 3 times in a row with us, but his dad doesnt think he's ready yet so its gonna get pushed back a little bit sadly 😢

This week:
We started off the week living in a house of 4 (us and another set of elders) but then we got news at the beginning of the week that the other elders in our house were getting taken out and hermanas were getting put in their area. So that was a pretty big switchup we weren't expecting, and the funniest part was that one of those elders had been saying for like 4 weeks that he thought his area was gonna get closed, and we were just like, "Elder you worry too much, your area's not getting closeddd"... and then it did 😂

Pancake miracle:
Saturday we worked really hard and confirmed a lot of attendances, we even told one family we were gonna bring them breakfast and then go to church together, and they committed to going with us. And then we wake up Sunday morning and almost all of the confirmed attendances start canceling on us. And we were just like "ni modo" and we make the pancakes anyways that we promised to the one family, just praying they wouldnt cancel on us as well, and then on the way to their house I'm walking with a giant tupperware of pancakes in my hands and just praying like the brother of Jared, "touch these stones, O Lord, with thy finger, and prepare them that they may shine forth in darkness" expect in our case it wouldve been like "touch these (pancakes), O Lord, with thy finger, and prepare them that they may (help our friends come to church with us)"...
And so after a giant trek we get to the house of the family with our pancakes in hand and... their door has a chain around, it's dead silent, and everyones left 😂 at that point we were pretty depressed I cant lie... but walking on the way back we decide to pass by the house of another family we had invited, but we didnt really think they would come, but we go anyways and walk up to the door and give them the pancakes we had made for the other family. Church was already gonna start in like 25 minutes and they were all in their pajamas basically and didnt look like they had any plans of going, and they told us they had other things they had to do and that it would be really difficult for them to make it church. But we leave them with the pancakes anyways and head to church. And then while we're sitting at church, we see the whole family walk in, dressed in their sunday best, and me and my comp's minds were blown, we thought there was no shot they would show up. That was a huge testimony to me that the Lord can magnify our small, humble efforts, like with the brother of Jared He can make stones shine, or He can make our pancakes inspire people to come to church 😂

The emails getting way long so I'm gonna end it here... oh also a couple weeks ago we rented a bench of gym equipment from a guy across the street, so we got a bench press in the house now so thats been super sweet... also happy 4th of july to everybody, talk again soon

Monday, September 1, 2025 Subject: A Lot of Rain ☂️  Wassup everybody, It was a solid week, went by super fast but also super slow haha. We had a ton of rain this week, and when it rains in El Salvador it RAINS. The streets straight up turn into rivers and everyone goes into their houses because it's pretty dangerous. I think it was like Wednesday or Thursday, but we were way up in the mountains around San Juan, it was like 6:30 and already getting dark, and the rain was coming down super hard. We were waiting on the side of the road until a pickup came, and we got into the back of it and started driving down the mountain and going into the rain at like 40 mph.  It was like a 15 minute ride of just getting absolutely pelted by the rain, it was so bad haha. I had a little umbrella that I was holding like a shield in the back of the pickup but it didn't help at all, it was getting bent in from the wind and rain and we got completely soaked. Buenos Dias

Monday October 6, 2025 Subject: Buenos dias  Qué tal everybody A decent week, not the best but we keep working. Me and my companion Elder Delgado have been sick this week and so we've been having to give everything just to get through the day so thats been the main thing thats made this week more difficult than usual. We got our water back for a couple days but once again its out, so that's nice haha. We have 3 people on date for baptism right now, and we'll see if they all go through. I feel pretty confident with our plans to baptize our friend Matias this upcoming sunday but the two others have slightly bigger problems that might take some extra weeks, but we're gonna do our best to help them out. Conference was super awesome and inspiring. I really liked Elder Uchtdorfs, Elder Hollands, and Elder Kevin G Browns talks. Go back and listen to those 3 if you can. Tio Vaca Baptism!!

Monday August 18, 2025 Subject:  Tio Vaca Baptism!! Cómo estamos everybody..... Another great week a lot of stuff happened its hard to remember haha. Got my first baptism this past sunday (besides my lil bro JJ of course haha), it was a super cool experience. It was our friend Jonathan Amaya (everyone calls him Tio Vaca and I have no idea why haha). He's 18 and he's basically been an eternal investigator up until this point, he's had a ton of friends in the church for the past 10+ years but he finally decided to get baptized it was so cool to see the entire ward show up for his baptism and I'm so happy for my man. I also had to give a talk on sunday it actually went great and was a big confidence boost for my spanish. We had intercambios (exchanges) 2 times this past week, on tuesday I went with Elder Reyes to Las Colinas and then thursday with Elder Buehner to Las Orquidias.
